Saint Therese Center Volunteers Make it Happen |
While Father Joseph may be the executive director of the Saint Therese Center there are certainly a number of volunteers who are actually in charge and run the center smoothly when Father is present or not. Two of these would be Ed Brighton and EJ Johannes. Ed and EJ are incredible in what they accomplish for the Saint Therese Center as in hours spent working at the Center. Sometimes seven days a week they can be found laboring in love getting things ready on weekends so that things will run smoothly during the week. They over see many programs from food drives and furniture pick up and deliveries, to front office general secretarial work, distribution of food certificates, bus passes and tokens. Total maintenance of the building is also part of their activities and many improvements have been made physically at the Saint Therese Center due to their ingenuity and creativity. Truly the Saint Therese Center is a welcoming space, no only decorated by all donated furniture but because the love and care for life both these gentlemen share with all those who come into the Saint Therese Center for help! Many clients will not do anything or remove anything without Ed or EJ's permission as the item may be promised to someone but if it is available it is freely given with grace and charm. The hours of love, care and concern these men give are invaluable to the Saint Therese Center and truly make all things happen! |

Saint Therese Center is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization and depends on the prayers and contributions of concerned individuals, bussinesses and churches. All gifts are tax deductable Most all services are free of charge at Saint Therese Center and gifts are gratefully received. |
